Effect of Propofol Alone and Propofol+Muscle Relaxant Combination on Laryngeal Mask Airway Insertion and Hemodynamic Parameters During Anesthesia Induction: A Randomized Clinical Trial

Background: Successful insertion of a laryngeal mask airway (LMA) requires deep anesthesia, the proper opening mouth, and adequate suppression upper reflexes. Propofol injection can effectively reduce This study aimed to compare effectiveness propofol alone versus plus muscle relaxant on LMA hemodynamic parameters during induction anesthesia. Methods: randomized, double-blind clinical was performed 70 patients in age range 18-65 years who were candidates for surgery operating room Shahid Mohammadi Hospital Bandar Abbas, Iran 2020. The randomly divided into two groups 35. first group received normal saline, second cisatracurium. ease insertion, jaw opening, cough gag reflexes, head limb movement, laryngospasm, changes recorded investigation. Results: almost matched terms demographic variables. No significant difference found regarding parameters. However, overall score considerably higher (P=0.029). extubation time significantly shorter (P<0.001) duration longer (P=0.019) group.
